"That Kind of Woman"

I recently came across a beautiful and unique blog that spoke to the very essence of me. It all started with the about me section; And I quote: 

"A website dedicated to the things that inspire a young woman with a good head on her shoulders, an overactive imagination and a constant question on her mind: what kind of woman is she?" 

Butterflies & excitement rose through me as I scrolled on! The entire page has a warm, rustic vibe. Dappled with eccentric homes, fashion, and the most delicious looking meals.

To top it off, the most down to earth advice. Just what I needed to hear, on a chilled out friday night.

It was definitely serendipity that lead me to this site. 

From one twenty something to another, your blog is a feast for the mind and soul.

I don’t need someone to complete me, I need someone to make things a little bit better every now and again.

 You are, lady, under no obligation to be a aged and experienced as anyone around you. You are under no obligation to grow in a day, a week or a year. Instead, just take your time, appreciate the outlook you have. Then slowly, step by step make bigger leaps, and take bigger chances. Trust yourself, and your journey. Just never take the people or experiences in your life for granted. 

 I always feel this pressure of being a strong and independent icon of womanhood, and without making it look my whole life is revolving around some guy. But loving someone, and being loved means so much to me. We always make fun of it and stuff. But isn’t everything we do in life a way to be loved a little more?

Close some doors. Not because of pride, incapacity or arrogance, but simply because they no longer lead somewhere.

 Just because two people don’t wind up spending their entire lives together doesn’t mean their relationship was a failure.

When I get lonely these days, I think: So BE lonely. Learn your way around loneliness. Make a map of it. Sit with it, for once in your life. Welcome to the human experience. But never again use another person’s body or emotions as a scratching post for your own unfulfilled yearnings.

Surround yourself with the dreamers and the doers, the believers and thinkers, but most of all, surround yourself with those who see the greatness within you, even when you don’t see it yourself.

I do not think I’m easy to define. I have a wandering mind. And I’m not anything that you think I am.

Your naked body should only belong to those who fall in love with your naked soul.
