Look Whos Coming To Dinner

Usually after midnight, with a steaming pot of tea trying not to wake the whole house. My sister and I get lost in conversation.  Why is it that the best and most profound things can be discussed in the wee hours?  No distractions of anyone coming or going and cell phones for the most part lie dormant.

On this particular evening the conversation turned to dinner parties.  Specifically, the elements necessary to host a GREAT dinner party.  We were long over-due and a plan was hatching for a night of all nights...
Full of wine, cheese and creative conversation - As we were figuring the details we got thinking about our fantasy dinner party.

Who would you invite?  - Alive or Dead - to your one and only fantasy dinner party?
We always get each other going with concepts like this.  I couldn't help but make a list of famous people I would invite.

Here are my top 5 and a little insight as to why...

Isabella Blow - She's outrageous !! Just the excitement to see her outfit of choice. To meet her in person and get her view on life in and out of the fashion / art world would be a dream come true.

Isabella was a strong, opinionated, one of a kind woman and to see her at a dinner party (let alone mine!) would be an unforgettable experience.

There's no doubt she would bring a wild energy to the party.

Andy Warhol -  How unreal would it have been to have the king of all creative collaborations take the time to attend a dinner party of yours?  What would he say?  What would his mood and energy be like in person?

Dane cook -  Comic relief! … ha! There would never be a dull moment!  And on the flip side,  I would love to see his serious side.
I'd like to be privy to the personality that's not up on stage.  I've heard that he is very down to earth, creative (obviously) and socially aware.
Imagine looking over and seeing Dane Cook and Andy Warhol with their heads tipped together in deep conversation. ahhhh...amazing!

Oprah - Positive , Inspiring and a leader of this generation.
Oprah is a woman who is second to none.  She has taken her message of hope and life, globally.
Oprah Winfrey is truly an amazing human being.
To be touched for a moment by her wisdom and light..., in a word,  unforgettable.

Howard Hughes - Firstly...he probably wouldn't show,  That being said.., it would be pretty amazing to see him in his prime.
What would he have to say about current events.?  The economy?  What would his views be on the inventions of today.  Would he have been the one to create the automatic sinks and automatic flushing toilets?  I'll bet he would have!

I can only imagine what projects could be created in one evening with this crew!

Who would you invite to your fantasy dinner party?
xx-hotbynight
