JIMMIE MARTIN

What could be better than a signature piece of furniture to inspire an entire room makeover? Feast your eyes on my newest obsession; "JIMMIE MARTIN"!

It has to be the most amazing furniture collection that I have ever laid eyes on.

The minds behind the magic are, Jimmie Karlsson and Martin Nihlmar. British artists that have taken interior design meets art...to a whole new level. The pieces are unique and inspiring. The duo is most know for their electric furniture. However, they also have wallpaper, lamps, flooring and many mediums to display this wonderful art.

"We like to describe our creations as playful and unexpected" declared Jimmie Karlsson and Martin Nihlmar "Each piece is hand painted, this makes them unique. Our main inspirations come from everyday life, from the street, fashion, music, news, people. Everything is aimed at creating unexpected combinations that surprise and amaze. We love the imperfection because it makes everything unique, spontaneous and non-verifiable or repeatable."

In a word I would describe them as marvelous! Each piece is one of a kind, hand painted and totally original. I love the fact that an old tired antique can be given new life.

I have been inspired to try my hand at antique shopping ... Maybe I'll be spray painting my own fabulous piece as you are browsing the photos, thinking of ideas for your own creations. Why not start out small? Pick up some frames or vintage mirrors for your very own DIY Jimmy Martin inspired pieces.

Good luck on your treasure hunt!
xx-hotbynight

The duo have worked with several celebrities; Kelly Osbourne, Bungalow 8, Liberty, Kelly Hoppen, Pete Townsend, Kylie Minogue, just to name a few...

Included in the collection are exclusive pieces created for charity. Check out the autographed "KYLIE" Chair. Topped off with hundreds of Swarovski crystals, it has a gorgeous hand painted portrait of Kylie and Kylie's handwritten signature to top it all off.

These are my faves ! (So many to choose from )
