Weekend Wants

Spark up the imagination for this weekend! My top three wants are;
1. Go out on the town wearing flasies. Seem pretty basic… but ever notice the night goes from a 7 to a 10 with them on? Its like heels for your les yeux!
2. Hopefully it stays hot enough to make some fun cocktails. Might as well go all out and make the ice look just as great! (Stay tuned to the ultimate hotbynight cocktail)

3. Kind of random but I'm obsessed with "Pink Champagne Meltdown Blow Pop Sculpture" It was on display in Miami so who knows - book a trip, go to a gallery or even re decorate my room!
It's always great to have a little curve ball when making lists… keeps life interesting & you never know when serendipity will step in.

Often Imitated, Never Duplicated

I constantly ask myself 'What would Anna do?'
She has been my source of inspiration for a number of years. As she keeps raising the bar and pushing her creativity, I find myself constantly in awe. She's got more swagger and exudes more raw power than most rappers.
I'm so happy that she keeps up on her social media! It reminds me to not settle for a casual look and that a Tuesday afternoon is the perfect opportunity to show off that new peacock head piece.

Here's a few of her latest looks,
& remember to pick the more daring outfit this weekend ;)

Art Money

I'm absolutely loving the vision created by Chad Wys. He's a visual conceptual artist, designer, writer and all round interesting human being!
I really like that he takes pieces that are vintage and unique and with one stroke of neon he creates something blunt and ironic. He has mastered the art of destruction.

You can see different tunnels of inspiration for each set he does. Between digital, mixed media and photography, each section is so different and stand alone from the next. He really has a little bit of everything in his portfolio! His drop forms are simple with the use of beautiful color palettes.  Definitely check them out if you're looking to see unique color pairings.

Chad has an upcoming show in July - You better believe that I'll be heading to the Hampton's to experience his work in real life!

When you can genuinely say, that you love who you are and where you are going in life, everything else falls into place. Friends, jobs, relationships and the serendipity moments that make life worthwhile.

There was a time when I would literally be too nervous and lacked the confidence to go into a clothing store alone. A lunch or a manicure on my own would have been impossible!

Until I met a friend who had no problem with her own company and I realized I needed a little change. Alone she was free and independent. She was confident, daring and knew what she wanted out of life. With this knowledge, it completed every part of her life. She didn't view herself as being alone. She was hanging out with herself!
From that moment on, I started braving the world and doing things on my own.

As the years have gone by, I can happily say that I have no problem keeping myself company. :) Time alone to explore the world and new experiences puts your life into perspective. Suddenly you're in touch with how you feel and what you need in life. And you'll begin to crave this "alone time" to be yourself. We all bring different social masks to every relationship. Spending time with yourself - forces you to be yourself. And to listen to your inner voice without any other influences good or bad.

Some points to remember:Always be conscious in the moment. Keep your phone in your purse. Don't let it distract you from what's really going on around you...
When you're driving, turn off the radio. Enjoy the silence and let your thoughts entertain you. You will become enlightened and you just might answer some of your biggest questions.

It's easiest to start with simple things that make you feel great; A trip to the florist, book store, the beach. You can work up to dinner by yourself.
On a recent trip to New York, I saw a movie by myself. It was the best matinee experience!

Never underestimate your own company. Get to know yourself. You will have so much more to offer if you do!
